Manchester United win EFL Cup – now most decorated club in English football

The first major trophy of the season in English football will be coming back to Manchester! In a topsy-turvy EFL Cup Final at Wembley, Zlatan Ibrahimovic became a hero and Jose Mourinho claimed his first trophy as Reds manager with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Southampton.

After one of the most exciting finals in the League Cup's recent history, Manchester United is now officially the most decorated club in English football, surpassing rival Liverpool after winning their 42 major honor.

EFL Cup Final Highlights

It was a thriller to the end, but the Reds eventually overcame Southampton's spirited fitback to triumph 3-2. After Southampton drew the contest even at 2, Zlatan Ibrahimovic settled three minutes from time with his 26th goal of an incredible campaign.

The victory also sees Jose Mourinho become the first manager in United’s history to win a trophy in a debut season.

We are proud to have done our small part for the boys from Old Trafford – shipping the team kit to Wembley ahead of the match so that was everything was ready to go when the boys arrived.
