The Grand Tour: DHL delivers Jeremy Clarkson’s new show around the world

DHL is joining Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May on The Grand Tour – a brand new car show on Amazon Prime set to debut in October. The best part: the show travels the world, and DHL is on hand to help move it from place to place.

Britain’s favorite auto enthusiasts - Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May – are back behind the wheel. Their new show, The Grand Tour, will premier in October exclusively on Amazon Prime.

Check out the show’s official page on Amazon.

The show will be presented in a traveling format, with a different studio location every week. This isn’t merely moving to a different sound stage – these are international trips that require perfect logistical execution to make sure the show goes off without a hitch. Given the challenge, it’s no wonder The Grand Tour called DHL to help bring the show to a global audience.

“Visiting a different location every week, and moving a show of this size is a challenge that only the most international company in the world can take on,” said Ken Allen, CEO of DHL Express.

DHL will ensure the transportation of everything needed for the show, including all filming equipment, as well as the giant tent which will serve as the studio for the live audience. While the hosts are already filming segments for the show, the first studio stop on The Grand Tour will be Johannesburg, South Africa in July.

Despite the well-known organizational skills of the shows stars, moving from country to country each week “is a logistical task that even they would struggle with, so we're delighted to let professionals like DHL do the heavy lifting – literally,” said the show’s executive producer Andy Wilman, who has worked with Clarkson, Hammond, and May for years.

These guys have indeed proven their ability to pull off amazing feats in the past, but when it comes to packing, we have our doubts – just watch this video of Jeremy Clarkson trying to put together a DHL box!

We’re excited to take on the challenge of bringing The Grand Tour to audiences around the world, especially given our own passion for motorsports: From our partnerships with Formula 1, Formula E and MotoGP, to our global fleet that includes trucks, e-scooters, bikes, boats and more, “helping to deliver a program like The Grand Tour is something hardwired into our DNA,” notes Ken Allen.

Once the show starts in October, we’ll look forward to sharing some behind-the-scenes insights into how we pull off the logistics of The Grand Tour – stay tuned!
