The Gewandhausorchester has a history stretching back in excess of 250 years, and has performed with some of the greatest musicians in the history of music, including Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Wagner. Now led by its chief conductor and one of the world's foremost concert conductors, Riccardo Chailly, its distinguished reputation and astounding spectrum of expressive capability have made the Orchestra one of the finest on the planet.
With a touring schedule that encompasses performances in Europe, Asia and the US, the importance of safely transporting the instruments and equipment cannot be underestimated. Whether it be via temperature controlled transport or a tight turnaround, DHL is always on hand to make sure the Orchestra’s musicians hit every high note, even while thousands of miles from home.
