Lucas di Grassi’s diary from the Hong Kong ePrix

On your marks! The third season of Formula E racing starts with a new host venue in Hong Kong, and last year’s runner-up Lucas di Grassi’s can’t wait to get going. In his DHL InMotion blog, the ABT Schaeffler Audi driver will once again be giving us updates on his title challenge.

First podium finish of the year
This second place feels like a win, I’m overjoyed. The race showed once again that it’s really only over when you take the checkered flag in Formula E. Thanks to my team who were brave today and showed that we never give up. This is an important message to the competition for the new season.

Good to be back
We’ve got the dress rehearsal behind us, and tomorrow we get down to some serious business with the first race of the season. As always, we were kept very busy at the circuit with interviews, the official press conference and of course our first track outing of the weekend - the shakedown. It feels good to be back in the Formula E car.

Please support me
As was the case last season, I’m counting on your valuable support again this time. Please vote for me and give me a FanBoost so that I can be among the front-runners in Hong Kong. How does it work? It’s simple. Either cast your vote for me at fanboost.fiaformulae.com directly or use the hashtags #FanBoost and #LucasDiGrassi on Twitter or Instagram. Thanks for your support!

Season highlight first up on the calendar
I arrived on Tuesday in Hong Kong, and after two days I can report that this truly is an amazing city. I am sure that this race is going to be a highlight on our unique calendar. I’m really looking forward to the first round of Season 3. After a bronze and a silver medal, the only one that’s missing from my collection is gold. My team and I feel not only well prepared but also highly motivated. We want to be major contenders again this year!
