Lewis Hamilton takes DHL Fastest Lap in Montreal

Lewis Hamilton was the best driver in the Canadian Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver secured the Grand Slam for the fourth time in his career – race victory, pole position, lights-to-flag lead and the DHL Fastest Lap.

Hamilton controlled the Montreal race from the very beginning, never leaving his sixth victory in Canada in any doubt. Despite having a comfortable lead, the British driver burned the DHL Fastest Lap into the asphalt on Lap 64, covering the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in 1:14.551 minutes, thus underlining his total dominance that weekend.

"It's been such an incredible weekend. I just couldn't be happier with how it's gone and I'm so grateful for this result," said Hamilton with a big smile on his face. "It's a long race here, especially when you're out there on your own, but I knew the car would hold together and it did perfectly."
